Just a few more discs before I go on holiday...
Rachmaninov:
Piano Concertos Nos. 1-4 (complete)
Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini, Op. 43
Stephen Hough (piano)
Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Andrew Litton
I really enjoy this set. The playing by Hough is full of virtuosity while Litton is an excellent accompanist. On top of that, the Hyperion recording is of high quality (unlike Hough's Tchaikovsky effort with the Minnesota Orchestra whch sounds rather poor). In summary, this set is a winner.
