Reminds me of a story about Joseph Stalin during development of armor plating for Soviet Tanks. They were testing a new design and when Joseph asked the engineers if they were confident enough in their design that he could stand behind it while a tank fires a round at it, the answer was a reassuring "Yes". He didn't.. Sure enough the round blew a large hole right down the middle of the armor plate...
