I'm hoping to be in the market for some new equipment in the near future. Been doing my research and diligence and this 1502 has really caught my eye. All of the print reviews I've read and all of the YouTube reviews I've watched have all been very, very positive on this amp.
I'm not at all concerned or waived off by the tubes themselves, although one big concern I have is heat. The last tube amp I used had 4 6550's and it ran smoking hot. That said, my brother has the MC275 MK6 and he claims it runs at modest heat levels. Never anything too much, but this amp is literally twice the amp (both size and power wise).
Anyone try pairing the 1502 with a solid state preamp?
