I would go with the CR-1s. For one thing, yes, they are a standmount, but they are a large standmount, not a small one. Their output is very comparable to a full-size speaker as you know. Also, they have a wholeness and coherence and balance that is very tough to surpass. Lastly, the R-1s are so large, that they could be more challenging with respect to optimal setup; they could easily over-power and over-pressurize some rooms that are not large enough.
