Were you able to correlate the measurement results with listening tests versus no footers? Your impressions there would be very interesting.
Hi Tima,
I didn't do the specific experiments you've described above, but I did put the EVPs under my REL sub, and the improvement the EVPs provided was significant. As I live in a townhome that is "placed" above a series of garages that uses the standard drywall construction in California. You can see it here in this photo, my home runs along the "top" above this series of garages below. You can see my Acura TL Type S at the lower left in my driveway, in front of my garage, which is the level under my townhome.

I can say that under my REL sub, the EVPs stopped the "coupling" of the REL's output to the floor, which then coupled to the drywall-construction walls. And...drywall resonates at 70 Hz. So, putting the EVPs made the room itself significantly quieter because the walls weren't resonating at 70Hz from energy imparted to the floor by REL sub. It was NOT a subtle improvement, the room got a LOT quieter. Hearing this degree of improvement was fairly profound for me. And, Norm of A/V Roomservice said this is one of specific applications the EVPs were designed for. Man! He was right.

This made the the room as a whole MUCH quieter, and as a result, the system sound quite a bit better, as you can imagine.

Shown here is my current system...this part of the floor you see in this shot is above my garage.

Cheers.
