No, just waiting for my modified SATA power cable to arrive. In the meantime I will continue monitoring my BDP-3. As for the JCAT cable, I think the end of the cable is too stiff to bend to fit under the cover so I will have to let the unit openned in order to use it. At least I will have my curiosity satisfied.
