I have the C2700, Topping D90 MQA and a Holo May KTE. I currently mostly listen to the Holo May as the main DAC. I’ve kept the D90 around for now as it decides MQA.
Now if I listen the MQA tracks from Tidal with the Holo May it does sound lossy to me. So then I just go searching a non MQA version. Even with 16/44 tracks the Holo it does a superb job.
Now when i use the D90 for tidal MQA files it does sound a bit clearer but lacks the soundstage, micro detail, and everything else the Holo does.
So now these days I just avoid MQA files where I can. The DA2 though is still a good DAC but the difference to the Holo May is obvious.
