For stereo, analog goes from an Ayre disc player directly to an Ayre preamp with a bass manager between it and a pair of subs. For surround, HDMI goes from the disc player to the SP3 that returns front LR to Ayre bypass. I want to add LFE from the SP3 to a third sub. In the SP3 menu, I've set all speakers to small except the front LR. Should I set EXTRA BASS to on? Does the SP3 LFE output provide low-pass filtering or do I set that at the third sub?
