Thank you! When I bought my first motorcycle in 1983 I was considering both the BMW R100CS and the R100RS. My childhood best friend had bought a R100RS in 1982 so ultimately I decided to go with that bike. The Red/Black R100CS was a very close second. The R90s is a wonderful bike, but I agree, with it's longer wheel base it is more at home in short to long sweepers and eating up miles at 80mph than really tight switch backs. The Dellorto pumper carbs on the R90s are incredible and I prefer them to the Bing carbs on all other BMW's during that time.
