Have a look JA's measurements

JC1+ delivers:
450W into 8 ohms
850W into 4 ohms
1200W into 2 ohms

2150 delivers:
960W into 8 ohms
1450 into 4 ohms
House circuit breaker tripped before he could measure the rated 4000W into 2 ohms

To get the full power out of the boulder, you need 22amps at 220v input or 45amps at 110v as it consumes 5000w from the wall.

And the 2150 is pure class A. The JC1+ noise measured at 1kHz at 53W into 8 ohms, 0.0049% THD+N. The 2150, pushed way harder, measured an order of magnitude less noise 1kHz at 400W into 4 ohms, 0.00036% THD+N

I'm not really a measurement guy, but sometimes they are useful for context.
I should've known ....but could not fathom why Boulder would use an obsolete
power descriptor peak power...

In a review by audioexpress the reviewer could not get max power output
from a Parasound JC5 because the wall voltage sagged not allowing the
JC5 to perform at it's fullest and recommended 25 amp dedicates lines

Thanks for the heads up..!!

Happy listening
