This means classical is by far the most popular genre there, followed by jazz.
The rest is just peanuts compared to these 2 genres.

(I'm just having a little fun too )

greetin's to Across the Pond, any chance around brugge area ?

my thread title should have read , 'the most "active" music genre in the U.S.'
I mentioned i heard a XM Jock sayin' the bluegreass genre is currently the most active. i was surprised at that.. i believe he was referrin' to artists playin'/recordin' this genre not what genre is most popular..
when on that genre stream on XM, you hear alot of new stuff, it's not just the louvin brothers or the late great Ralph Stanley nor flatt and scruggs, lol
my guess for most active genre woulda been Country/Outlaw Country.
the Metal genre is still popular but American metal has been purdy dead for yrs now..so thats a good example of it not bein' the most active
