myjazz123, I didn't do anything special with burn-in, just normal listening. To play it safe though, I kept the volume low/moderate for the 1st few days, but I'm not sure that I really needed to.
Regarding matching, I've found my Miles to be very revealing of the source. They improve (and come to life) with higher resolution components, but they also demand high levels of refinement in them. You will certainly hear it if something isn't quite right.
I should add that as my speakers improved in body during burn-in, so too did their presentation of higher resolution sources.
