CR-1 New Owner Too
Like Jim, I am a new owner of CR-1's I purchased from Ivan after his Cape Cod party. I was smitten with them and made a deal with Ivan. Unlike Jim, I have been unable to sell my existing speakers, Sonus Faber Amati Homage's. I have had them listed here, as well as Audiobroker.net, and Audiogon. I have lowered my price from $15K to $12K, and still no luck. Since I am holding out that I might find someone like Jim did that will want to pick them up, I have kept them operational in my media room. I don't have room anywhere in my house to store my Amati's(other than the garage), so I have kept the CR-1's in their boxes, unable to listen to them, which now is almost two months!  I am beyond frustrated. I have had a couple of low ball offers, which I have refused. I never thought it would take this long to sell a pair of mint Amati's. Any suggestions? I would really love to sell my Amati's and break out the CR-1's. My wife is constantly ridiculing my predicament. Not good!
