The turntable power supply has nothing to do with the signal. It supplies power for the motor and motor control circuits. The power to a turntable has nothing to do with its performance. Rather, the power cord affects the CCI noise generated by the motor and the radiated fields from the power cord. So the cord can affect the system sound but it is because it affects the the other components connected to the power distributor and possibly it can affect radiated noise picked up by the cartridge and its wiring.

For those reasons, I prefer a shielded power cord with NR filters specifically designed to remove impulse noise as generated by SMPSs and motor commutator noise.

The Venom V14 Digital is a specialist specifically for this type of application. We actually developed it in our medical division for large pumps and RF generators used in heart surgery.
