and they do make good mechanical movements as well. Being part of the Swatch group(worlds largest producer of timepieces) they along with sister company Omega produce more hairspring / escapement assemblies than anyone else. While I know Rolex utilizes their own in house escapement (with a proprietary hairspring that supposedly is almost completely anti-magnetic) I'm not sure about the likes of Lange and Patek .....??
