Like it or not, 4k resolution is the future. I believe 1080p televisions will fade into history.
As far as plasma goes, I had one and will never own another one I like watching tv, not worrying about burn-in or image retention. Besides, the best plasma is no longer being made(Pioneer Elite Kuro ).
