I noticed that after having inserted them in my sound system last summer that the AC guys who installed my AC unit 3 years ago did install the same ones!

Yep, Serge, those are the same ones, the Diversitech ones. You might try putting them directly under the component rather than resting them on the components' own feet. This should provide better mechannical grounding. Try it both ways and see if you hear a preference.
