Charles, congrats on XLF upgrade. As a previous Sophia 3 user, I am sure XLF are one of the best as well. I've heard Grande at length twice or so, with T+A hybrid tower monoblock once, and with Octave even larger tower mono block. on the latter case, tweeters were giving too much, it could be the all Audioquest WEL cabling, or the improper setting of jumpers on Grande.
I thought I could use Thiel CS3.7 for 10-20 years before too. less than a year later the Salon2 came, followed by Sophia 3 and Magico Q3 and now.. So I get the point of Ivan on his comments. But with Q7, It made me short of $$$ enough not to play around with other speakers for times to come.
