Nice! Had Mick modify my Cabernet so it could switch between 6v and 12v tubes. It was expensive enough I had to think about it a bit but I'm glad I had it done. The old 6sn7 tubes have gotten really expensive. The 12sn7 versions are still fairly reasonable. The 12sx7 are a little bit more but still reasonable compared to 6sn7. I plan on using old 12v tubes and if I get curious enough I'll try to some of the new 6sn7 from China.
To get back on topic, I wonder what Dennis would charge to add a similar switch in the new preamp. 6j5 tubes are starting to creep up in price but 12j5 tubes are still cheap.
