I think synergy is really important here.
I heared many TT's with great arms and great carts, not sounding that good.
If i'm not happy with the Clearaudio ( I seriously doubt it, after what I heared at Jean Marc's house), I will sell it and will buy the Xtension, with the Ortofon arm and Ortofon cart !

I'm surprised your dealer would suggest using a low compliance cart like Talisman with a low mass arm.
