Thanks for another great review. As you said early on, digital audio has come a long way. I really like the approach Moffat and Stoddard have taken in the Yggdrasil.
Your sonic impressions sure emphasize that approach - super accurate reconstruction of the digitized signal followed by well designed filtering make for a great listening experience, not to mention attention to detail in the analog design.
Good audio engineering never goes out of style and it is even better when you get it without the bloviation and bling that seems to permeate high performance audio.
