Exactly. I'm from Nashville, and they were popular growing up down there. My father really liked those things. When he cooked them they didn't look that organized, though. My brother picked up the habit, too. Not my favorite odor in the house at all. And knowing what they are, the odor seemed to fit.
Fortunately, there are other things to enjoy in Nashville, and in Tennessee in general, besides chitterlings (as the label reads).
