The 6N1P is not a true equivalent of a 6DJ8-type tube. It will draw twice the heater current and the Gm is way off. People do substitute 6DJ8 and vice versa but they really shouldn't. Some dealers even advertise 6N1P as being 6DJ8 equivalents. They are pin-equivalent but will not behave the same in a circuit.

The Russian 6N23P is a close equivalent to 6DJ8/692.

The 6N1P is a good tube. At least some of them are. Most people like the Russian production better than the China ones. The NOS Russian 6N1P-EV are well thought of.
