Carl, yes it is a fan. I'm telling you, you own some of the best Class A gear ever made.
And you don't need a fan because your gear is well ventilated. That beast ran hot, but what an amp it was. I'll never forget when it died. As you know there's a triangle and the blue lights come on successively. Well one day the second tried but failed. The amp made several attempts, failed and shut down. That was after ten years. I sent it back to Krell and it returned completely reconditioned. Worked perfectly until I sold it.
