The GS watches, and in particular, the Spring Drive "Snowflake" models are incredible watches. I've watched one of Grand Seiko's master watchmakers assemble a GS from the "ground up" at Topper Jewelers some years ago, and they have technologies and capabilities no other watch manufacture have. Their Zaratsu polishing has to be seen in-person to get the full impact.
