Here is a bit of a progress report. Install is underway.
I included an image of our starting system (Main Components B&W CDM7Se, CSE, ASW1000, DM601S2 Rear Speakers, Sonance 6" x 4 Atmos, Panasonic TC-P65ZT60 Plasma, Marantz MM7055 and MM 8077 amplifiers, AV8802A, Oppo UDP-205, B&O Beogram RX2 Turntable, Denon DRR 730 Cassette Deck, PS3 - I am bit behind the times with my gaming
, Harmony Ultra Remote.
I am replacing the fronts & centers with 800D3s and HTM1D3 and the amps with MC901s and MC207. We are ceiling mounting the current 65" Plasma but this will eventually be replaced by an 83" OLED. The ASW1000 is going to the back left corner/area for the time being. However, this may eventually get replaced with dual subwoofers for HT content (recommendations welcome and appreciated on the subwoofer options.
A couple of issues encountered mid-install. All correctable. The original TV mount on our pitched ceiling would have the screen 10 feet away from our seating. My wife and I think this is a tad too close so we are going to drop the mount down about 10 inches or so which will move the screen farther back. Also, we intended to place the MC-207 on the bottom left rack (Sanus AFAB) but the shelf height is only 9 inches. It would work if we took the feet off the 207 but I would be concerned about bottom ventilation. Again thoughts and feedback welcome.
