I was listening to my Genisis BluRay last night (Selling England By The Pound) on my Woo WA6. I kept thinking..."has my hearing gone south? Where's the sparkle and air that I know this disc has?"

This morning I pulled out all the tubes I had "curated" to get the most out of this little head amp and went back to the stock tubes that Jack Woo felt good enough to include with the amp. Wow! everything that had been missing returned and I was really happy with my little headamp setup again.

It took a long time for the facts to finally break through the bias so that I actually heard what was going on. Somtimes "upgrades" turn out to really be "downgrades."

Funny how this hobby continues to teach us lessons, especially when we think we're so confident and self assured. And then discover we really aren't.
