Agreed. I've been really loving mine. I've recently seen them for sale just under $500. They are solar-powered so they'll run accurately without needing a service for a long time.
When they were first released they were dubbed the "Seitona" for their resemblance to the Rolex Daytona, and man, you could not buy one anywhere. It was this situation for about the first >12 or so months after they were released, and now they are actually becoming readily available.
Same situation happened with another member of the Seiko Prospex line, the now-legendary Seiko SPB143.
Here's a pic of mine, which is actually a JDM reference of the SPB143, known as the reference SBDC101.
The SPB143, like the Sinn 556A is what watchonistas call a "strap monster". While I have the OEM Seiko bracelet for mine, I pretty much only wear it on a NATO strap, and with the neutral anthractie gray brushed dial, it works really with pretty much any color. I will never sell mine.
