I spoke to Trent at Audio Research ,the upgrade essentially is the replacement of 8 power supply filter caps and upgrade of input wiring. This is a crossover technology from the new 300 watt amplifier. This upgrade made a significant difference in the performance of the 160M’s but didn’t translate to the 160S. Great if you own 160M’s but not so much for the stereo amplifiers
