You need to find a better expert. The 40.2 is an incredible speaker for the price and is one of the best I have heard for rock music. I would say the determining factor for “rock music” is not the Harbeth but rather the amplifier you pair with it. A whimpy low power amp may work for classical and vocal music but not for power music.
