Today the best tile guys in the area showed up and started the demo (not cable demo.....
) of the master bath area. Keeping the garden tub -- even though the wife doesn't use it that often-- so, just retiling around it.
Took out everything -- double vanity/mirror, toilet, and of course all tile, wet board, rubber underlayment in shower.
Contacted Habitat for Humanity -- they will pick up the double vanity, toilet, 2 vanity lights next Friday. They do not accept unframed mirrors -- so posted on craigslist today and was gone in 30 minutes (FREE).
Tuesday, they start with new wet board and building out the 33 inch long niche (for shampoo, etc) which will have 2 marble shelves (at 13 & 27 inches) for 3 spaces. The bottom 5 inch high area will be for soap & razors.
So far so good.
