You probably would not need the bridge in this situation - you could plug the MacBook right into the USB port on the DAC.

It looks like the bridge uses DLNA/UPnP standards to access music from a server. If iTunes sharing is DLNA/UPnP compatible, you could plug the bridge into the network and access your music server from the DAC. No need to use the MacBook. I am not familiar enough with iTunes to know if it is compatible with DLNA/UPnP. Perhaps a Mac user could provide some input.
