Well, my 10 years old F113v1 died yesterday. I was expecting that to happen at some point but to be fair, I haven't had any problem with it since I purchased it. I'm glad I found this thread as like many others, I'm trying to avoid sending the whole unit for repair (for obvious reasons). However, I'm facing problems while trying to remove the heatsink / amp part from the cabinet. I've tried to use a machine screw slightly larger than the holes in the heatsink (as suggested) but not only I did not succeed in removing it (I mean it is really stuck there, it does not move at all) but one of the screws I used broke while screwing and is stuck in the hole... it's going to be 'fun' to try to remove it from there as it's one of the holes located in the heatsink threads which makes access very difficult. Normally, that's the kind of little jobs I like and can handle but this time around, it didn't start well to say the least.

Any ideas? Your help is appreciated

Thanks!
