The BDP-3 would still get the nod over the 3.14 Pi as the computer section and performance is better. The Pi is a good processor but has limitations in speed as well as performance. The BDA-3 DAC is identical to the 3.14 DAC section.
The SP3's DAC is a quality DAC but again the performance of the BDA-3 DAC exceeds that in the SP3.
It could be argued that having all the components in one chassis provides some performance benefits as each component can be optimized for the section ahead and behind it. For example you can come out of the Pi I2S directly into the DAC.
