A little off topic, but after about 6 years of periodic searching around, I finally scored a great condition Tascam remote for my BR-20. I kind of rolled the dice, because this one came from the UAE and took over 2 weeks to get here.
The seller was very reasonable on his asking price and accepted my offer within minutes. You see these remotes being offered on eBay a lot, but usually at crazy stupid prices or in really poor condition. In my case, I got a good cheap price and terrific condition. She's all hooked up and functioning perfectly.
Now I have no excuse to not start making tapes again.
