It's a long shot with most dealers having anything on hand, that's the word I'm getting. Didn't and doesn't stop me from trying/asking, especially on. a 205. If I order a 255 I'll wait and have no issues with that. I presume that's somewhat different in coastal locations with high populations but I've not run into any showrooms saying they display or displayed the HT stuff on any basis that I've reached in the midwest so far. I might get lucky though and score a trade - or have an avenue to get a 255 by way of special order. That seems the options at this point, but who knows what calling and asking on forums might turn up.....
There are 205s in the marketplace but can't get the "necessities" to line up: Pallet shipping in original carton (IOW how Mac ships this stuff to their dealers) or being able to physically pick up the unit (or in one case that is within range it looks like it got dropped off the dock so it's not really an option). It's just a matter of turning up the right lead/example. To quote Philo Beddoe -
