I'm a big fan of the little Harmony remotes. I have a 650, which has been replaced by the similar but upgraded 665. These remotes are very easy to setup and even odd and esoteric components are included in the Harmony database. If you have a device that isn't already in the DB (not likely) you can still program the remote to work with it.

I use one remote to control everything in my system. It eliminates a lot of clutter.
