I always had an affinity for the old Zenith Transoceanic Radios.
I remember my dad buying a B600 around 1961. Had the built in Battery Pack, or could use AC current, tubes, and it sure would pull in some distant stations with that long whip antenna.

Seemed like a big thing in the early 60's to own, I think many people thought it was a must-have with the thoughts of a possible pending nuclear Armageddon at the time.
