klipschfan.......It is interesting that in three and a half months no one responded to this thread. I guess there isn't much interest in 8 channel multi-zone amplifiers among the members here. I don't have a use for multi-channel zone amps, but I know some of our members do have extensive multi-room sound distribution in their homes.

The Bryston D-Series amps seem to be a cut above the typical small frame zone amps available from other manufactures. The specifications on the D-130Z are impressive, with 130 watts x 8 channels into 4 ohm loads, which is the typical impedence of most in-home ceiling mounted speaker systems. This amp offers the ability to set up four independent stereo channels with 130 watts on every channel. Using class D amplifier technology along with a Bryston engineered linear power supply design enables a lot of power to be produced from a small footprint, cool running amp. Impressive, and attractive. The D-130Z might even be a nice alternative to a smaller room multi-channel home theater system.
