you need to be careful using adapters like this, a source or preamp probably fine, however a large amp it may not be, definately do not go from a 20a to 15a on a conditioner etc that everything is plugged into. a 20a cable/circuit is rated for 1920 watts, when you go to a 15a its rated at 1440 watts, thats total watts a cable is capable of, 20a is typically 12 gauge, 15a is 14 gauge. that derates amperage and current which is not good if you have a load and drive on the circuit
