I bought a used Vpi 16 but it was a steaming POS. it was made of mdf and naturally the surface below the platter got wet during cleaning which swelled up the surface and warped it so that the pick-up tube quit sealing. Then the motor quit working under load for the platter. So now I'm searching for a new affordable way to clean records. The Vpi HW19jr was just as poorly made that I made the mistake of buying.
