Really curious that they are charging only $200. That is far less than the handing cost of this for them. My guess is that they think you did something to break it, and they are charging you just enough to make sure you'll be more careful next time.
Just to be clear--I am not saying this is something you did, I am only saying that is what they believe.
Did they offer any specifics on how they reached the conclusion it was not their fault?
