These speakers are definitely NOT bass shy! Get that ARC measurement kit, and get them optimized for your room! You'll be surprised by how much variation there is in bass response throughout the room (see my linked ARC graph). Barring major room dependent bass nulls, you'll end up with tuneful ACCURATE bass.
