Sound liaisons and Native DSD have recordings that were captured in DSD directly. Lots of DSD downloads are resampled Redbook CD PCM. They MAY sound better but usually not.
My suggestion would be to not get too focused on DSD. It can sound incredible if it is a native file. If it is not, then why pay more for the ‘DSD’ label when the native PCM recording will likely cost less and sound just as good, if not better.
