Since long term accuracy isn’t that important for audio, a super low noise crystal oscillator alone will do the trick.

100% spot on! Rubidium (Rb) and Cesium (Cs) have noisy atomic decay and while they can be used as master timing references over many years, decades amd millions of years hat is not the best approach for music where lowest phase noise and best short term stability are most important.
