Fuses are an interesting case because they exhibit very non-linear behavior with load. Their resistance changes based on the current going through them, especially the low current ones. So this could cause something untoward to happen sonically.

All of this is very equipment and system dependent so I’d never doubt that they make an improvement in some systems and not in others.

Sure, the cold resistance and the voltage drop will rise with temperature until equilibrium is reached under normal loads. Until it blows from thermal/over current event.

However, we should not forget that the basic job of a power supply is to provide a steady rail voltage... it is more than capable of compensating for the few millivolts of a drop of a glass fuse under normal loads.

Measuring a power cord and a cold fuse for resistance is a quick and fun experiment.
