They don't use VW diesels anymore.

The hybrid has a Volvo Penta D3-220, the most popular marine engine in use today.

Most of the trips on the Great Loop are under 50 miles. Which can be done on battery power (running the diesel charges the batteries in about 1/2 hour).

I'm looking at a lightly used 39. Hope go see it after I get vaccinated.
