Jonathan....outstanding review. I couldn't have said it better. Somewhere there is a review I posted of my experience with upgrading from Equinox speaker cables to WW Silver Eclipse. Like you, there were three cables involved. I was astonished by the improvement, and still am, really (though I recently did a modification to the speakers themselves which piled profound improvement on top of profound improvement).
As to whether there would be a benefit in moving up to the Gold Eclipse-like you, I have my doubts as I'm not sure my system has that kind of resolving power. But being audiophiles, we just can't help but wonder about these things in our pursuit of audio nirvana. I would say just sit back and enjoy your spectacular new Silver Eclipse speaker cables. The cost of the Gold Eclipse alone should be enough to dissuade any "sane" person. I know it does me!
But as to whether you might see a benefit in upgrading from WW Equinox to Silver Eclipse Interconnects-I would give that one a resounding YES, based on my experience. Several years ago, I upgraded my entire system from Audioquest Diamondback interconnects to WW Equinox, and it was a very nice improvement. I also upgraded the speaker cables to WW Equinox. Then a few years later I couldn't resist upgrading my entire system loom with WW Silver Eclipse Interconnects. The improvement was not subtle, I was not the slightest bit sorry.
But the icing on the cake was surely the last upgrade, when those WW Silver Eclipse cables came in. Wow, just Wow.
