Once you've heard a K-03, you will simply not be able to tolerate a D-07x. I'd highly advise against it if your budget (which I suspect) is higher. A better idea would be to see if you can nab a bargain-priced D-05, and use something else (or nothing) as a spinner if you need to. A D-05 should be around a K-05 price and imo you're getting a more organic sound.
