Glenn, congratulations on your upgrade! Going to solid state points out how important it is to carefully match your speakers to your amp/preamp. Tubes don't don't always sound better. I had always thought the Audio Classics only sold used used gear with an emphasis on Mac. However, after knowing about them for at least 35 years, I discovered that they were also a retail dealer for McIntosh. Also, an authorized McIntosh Service Center to repair Mac gear. However, I understand they are too busy to take in outside repair business. I occasionally receive emails from them for used gear. I probably missed the fact that they are a retail outlet for McIntosh also.
